Information about the project Air for All

vastmanlandsluft

General objective: to improve the capacity for upholding an environmentally, climatic and healthy air quality for citizens in the EU and on global level by elaboration of a digital education toolkit which is in line with the demands of the EU and global directives.

Specific objectives:

1. Improvement of the learning opportunities among all citizens and generations in the EU about air quality by usage of a ”citizens involvement” methodology for citizens in the EU. And, to equip them with necessary competences in carrying out air quality data collection work by a citizens science methodology.

2. Improvement of competence in air quality organisations toward e.g., environmental and climate staff on how to involve citizens in the air quality work and thereby increase the chance for taking on the challenges involved in decrease of air pollution and greenhouse gases.

3. To increase the exchange of practices and cooperation among citizens and organisations in the EU related to sustainability work connected toward the climate and environmental aspect, along with the health aspects, in the air quality area with the chance to establish new collaboration between citizens and organisations from all parts of society (e.g., private-public, NGOs) and from a varied set of organisations e.g., political organisations, knowledge institutions and environmental organisations.

The result of the project will be twofold:

1. A knowledge toolkit methodology which contains knowledge about air quality and greenhouse gas and on how to take part by citizen involvement in helping to spread knowledge about the topics and decrease air pollution and greenhouse gas, communicated toward a wide societal audience in a non-technical and easily understood manner.

2. A digital open access and free of charge platform in which the knowledge toolkit (see above) is communicated in the EU and on Global level (English).
